UFI delivers comprehensive filtration coverage for HGVs
UFI Filters offers an extensive range of filtration products for trucks, buses and other heavy-duty commercial vehicles, drawing heavily on the company’s experience as an original-equipment supplier.
Its HGV range covers the principal filtration requirements found in modern commercial vehicles, including engine oil, diesel fuel, air intake, cabin air, transmission and hydraulic filtration. The portfolio includes spin-on filters, replaceable cartridges and complete filtration modules designed to meet the demands of high-mileage, heavy-duty operation.

Fuel filtration is particularly important on the latest diesel engines. UFI’s systems are designed to remove fine contaminants and separate water from diesel, helping to protect high-pressure injection components. Its oil filters control particles and combustion residues in the lubricant, while the company’s air filters protect the engine against dust and other airborne contaminants without restricting airflow.
Cabin filters also form part of the range, helping to improve air quality for drivers, while hydraulic and transmission filters provide coverage for a variety of commercial and off-highway applications.
UFI has invested significantly in expanding its heavy-duty aftermarket offering. The company reported that its catalogue had grown to more than 1,400 on- and off-highway references by the end of 2024. During that year alone, it introduced 78 new products, including oil, fuel, air, hydraulic and water filters. Eleven of these additions were specifically for truck and bus applications.
A major strength of the range is its connection with UFI’s original-equipment business. The company says its OE products cover approximately 50 per cent of global HGV production. Its heavy-duty OE projects include a filtration module for the FPT Industrial Cursor XC13 engine and an oil-filter cartridge for Daimler Truck’s HDEP OM471 engine, widely used in Mercedes-Benz trucks.
UFI also works with commercial-vehicle and engine manufacturers including MAN, Iveco, Weichai and FPT Industrial. This OE expertise is transferred into its aftermarket products, giving workshops and fleet operators access to filters engineered to original-equipment standards.
For HGV workshops, the breadth of the UFI range means that routine servicing, preventative maintenance and more specialised filtration requirements can be covered through one established supplier. Correct filter selection and replacement remain essential to protecting expensive engine and fuel-system components, reducing unscheduled downtime and maintaining vehicle performance.
