Maha investing €1m in new truck and bus ADAS testing facility

Maha has commenced construction of a new €1 million research facility for truck and bus ADAS testing technology at its headquarters in Haldenwang, Germany.

The vehicle testing and lifting manufacturer said the new research facility will provide the foundation for transferring its MAST 2.0 technology to trucks and buses – vehicle classes with their own specific requirements in terms of dimensions, sensor technology and testing procedures.

MAST 2.0 was developed for testing ADAS functions in passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, with the first installation in Germany set to go into operation at TÜV SÜD in Ulm this October. The system will be presented for the first time next month at Automechanika Frankfurt.

“We see the development of an ADAS test system for heavy commercial vehicles as an important milestone in our company’s history. We are convinced that ADAS systems must also be tested in this vehicle segment,” said Dr Peter Geigle, CEO of the Maha Group.
