UPG UK & Ireland engages with truck motor factors
UPG UK & Ireland used the recent Road Transport Expo (RTX) in the UK to engage with existing customers, prospective truck motor factors and supplier partners, with discussions focused on helping factors move beyond reactive purchasing and towards a more consistent, profitable stocking strategy.
Alongside its expanding commercial vehicle portfolio, including steering and suspension, engine components, filtration, body parts and emissions technology, UPG showcased leading brands including COS.PEL, Mahle, Elring, KS Kolbenschmidt and Monroe.

However, the focus extended well beyond product, with the company demonstrating how its evolving business model is helping customers strengthen availability, improve purchasing efficiencies and create greater opportunities for repeat business through dependable, long-term supply partnerships.
Martin Butterworth, managing director at UPG UK & Ireland, said: “RTX once again proved to be a fantastic opportunity to spend valuable time with our customers and supplier partners.
“The quality of conversations throughout the show was excellent and reinforced that truck motor factors are increasingly looking for dependable supply partners who can support long-term growth rather than simply react to urgent requirements.
“Our strategy is centred on helping customers build profitable stocked ranges backed by strong availability, quality brands and knowledgeable support. The response we received at RTX confirms that approach is resonating with the market, and we’re looking forward to developing the relationships and opportunities created during the event.”
The exhibition also enabled UPG to further raise awareness of its growing commercial vehicle offering while strengthening relationships across its supplier network, supporting the company’s continued investment in the truck aftermarket.
