Mannok trials Mercedes-Benz eActros 600

Mannok, one of the UK and Ireland’s most diverse and experienced manufacturers of construction products and consumer packaging solutions, is currently trialling the Mercedes-Benz eActros electric truck as part of its ongoing focus on sustainability and innovation across the business.

This is a heavy-duty, battery-electric long-haul truck. Thanks to three powerful LFP battery packs (a total of approx. 621 kWh), the eActros 600 achieves a range of 500 km without recharging. And in future, Mercedes-Benz claims that megawatt charging will enable charging from 20 to 80 per cent in around 30 minutes.

The trial gives the team the chance to see how electric trucks could support more sustainable transport and day-to-day operations, while continuing to deliver the high standards Mannock’s customers expect.

As Mannock continues looking at ways to reduce its environmental impact, trials like this help the company better understand the role electric vehicles could play in the future of transport and logistics.
