DAF Trucks looks back on successful 2025

John McCann, National Sales Manager at DAF Trucks Ireland has been on to say: “What a year for DAF Trucks!”

DAF has had a great year – winning the following awards:
– International Truck of the Year 2026: DAF XD & XF Electric took the top title.
– Electric trucks in series production: DAF started full production of XD & XF Electric
– UK Fleet Truck of the Year: New Generation DAF XF won at the Motor Transport Awards.
– Fleet News Awards 2025: DAF XB named Best Truck (light distribution).
– Irish Distribution Truck of the Year 2026: DAF XD took the award.
– Driver-voted favourite: DAF XG⁺ 530 named “Most Popular Truck” in Spain.

Other milestones in 2025 included:
– 30 years #1 in the UK: DAF has celebrated three decades as the UK’s leading truck brand plus
to celebrate, it revealed the UK30 Special Edition XG⁺ 530.
– Efficiency Champions 2025: new models/specs launched to cut fuel use and CO₂.
– Service milestone: 300,000th DAF MultiSupport repair & maintenance contract signed.
– Production milestone: 125,000th New Generation DAF built.
– B100 biodiesel option: New Generation XF/XG/XG⁺ offered with MX-13 tuned for B100.
– New heavy-duty platform: factory-built 10×4 chassis launched (up to 52t technical GVW).
– Car-transport chassis update: new chassis introduced for car transport applications.
– Turnkey body builds: DAF XB expanded with factory PACCAR bodies.
– Major e-fleet order: Amsterdam ordered 40 XD Electric trucks for waste collection.
– High-profile UK delivery: Harrods took delivery of its first DAF XD Electric.
– UK network electrification: Pall-Ex added its first DAF XB Electric.
– Fleet partnership milestone: Turners (Soham) received its 1,000th New Generation DAF.
