Wakeling to lead new-look Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket team at ZF
ZF has announced a strategic restructure within its Commercial Vehicle (CV) Aftermarket division to deliver “even greater value and efficiency to customers”.
The company is combining its IAM sales, service parts, and fleet sales operations into one cohesive Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket team, led by David Wakeling, head of CV Aftermarket.

This new structure is said by ZF to have been designed to strengthen its position as a leading supplier of commercial vehicle products, bringing together the company’s full range of parts, technologies, and service solutions under one expert team.
Customers will benefit from a simplified, more connected experience, with seamless access to the complete ZF portfolio through a single point of contact.
The enhanced team will encompass all aspects of ZF’s commercial vehicle offering, including the ZF [pro]Service and ZF [pro]Academy support programmes, reinforcing the company’s commitment to keeping fleets on the road and maximising uptime.
Wim Deckx, managing director, ZF Aftermarket UK and Ireland, commented: “The commercial vehicle sector demands speed, reliability, and expertise, and our new structure reflects exactly that.
“By uniting our IAM, service parts, and fleet operations, we are creating a single, customer-focused team that can deliver the full strength of ZF’s aftermarket capability. This step ensures our partners receive faster support, clearer communication, and access to the complete ZF portfolio from one dedicated source.”
As part of this restructure, ZF also acknowledges the contribution of James O’Gara, who has played a key role in shaping the success of the company’s aftermarket operations.
Following the consolidation of leadership roles, O’Gara will be pursuing new opportunities outside of ZF.
