Sany to expand in Europe with e263 electric semi-trailer truck
Sany, a Chinese heavy machinery manufacturer, has announced that its e263 4×2 electric semi-trailer truck will launch in Europe next year.
The e263 features a 636kWh LFP battery on an 800V platform achieving a claimed range of over 500km with 42-tonne and maximised payload thanks to only 10.9-tonne empty vehicle weight.
In addition to 400kW CCS charging, Sany claims the e263 will later also enable megawatt charging (MCS).
Sany says it has already put more than 40,000 heavy-duty electric trucks into operation in China, with Europe next in its expansion plans.
The company will partner with Alltrucks Truck and Trailer Service to offer a comprehensive service network with its 700+ service workshops all over Europe and a German based spare parts storage centre managed by Putzmeister.
It promises 24/7 roadside assistance, OTA and telematic diagnosis and full-service contracts ranging from six to 10 years.
Kevin Eichele, head of product and business development for Sany eTrucks Europe, said this launch “builds on the proven success of Sany’s 8×4 408P (Gen1) and e435 (Gen2) electric chassis, which is already setting new standards in European heavy-duty construction segment with its advanced technology, impressive TCO, and reliability”.
“By offering both the new 4×2 e263 and established 8×4 e435 electric models, Sany eTrucks supported by Putzmeister provides European fleet operators with tailored solutions for a wide variety of applications,” he added.
Deliveries of the Sany e263 are expected to start in Q1 2026 and various rigid variants will be available by the end of 2026.
