New wet belt engine training program launched

Glasgow Training Group (GTG) in Scotland has launched a new training program focused on wet belt engine technology, which will be held at GTG’s recently refurbished workshop in Edinburgh.

Wet belt engines have been proven to be a popular option among Ford’s EcoBoost range, as well as being included in a variety of modern offerings from Peugeot, Citroen and Volkswagen.

Supported by Ivor Searle engines and Arnold Clark Autoparts, GTG says its new training course keeps technicians at the forefront of the latest trends and technology.

As a leading supplier with Arnold Clark Autoparts, Ivor Searle has recognised the importance of automotive training and development, gifting three high-quality engines for GTG to use while conducting its new course.

Craig McCracken, Group Factor Manager at Arnold Clark Autoparts, commented: “Wet belt engines require an in-depth maintenance schedule that needs both attention and expertise. Technicians need to be aware of the complex processes involved in avoiding common pitfalls. This new course and the Ivor Searle engines will ensure the new training course can go ahead – and a be a success.”
