Smart Tachograph Version 2 deadline aproaching

Haulage operators have been reminded that the deadline for retrofitting Version 2 smart tachographs is fast approaching.

As of Tuesday 19^th August 2025, all heavy-duty vehicles registered in the EU and operating in Member States other than their Member State of registration must be fitted with a smart tachograph version 2.

The EU says this will help improve the enforcement of EU rules on:

* Driving and rest times for drivers
* Posting of workers
* Cabotage operations
