NJI Transport invests in testing equipment from Totalkare

Running an array of vehicles from its Dunstable facility, NJI Transport is set to benefit from considerable time and cost savings following the introduction of a Totalkare brake testing solution.

The haulage company made a strategic purchase to allow brake testing to be conducted in-house, resulting in considerable time and cost savings for its operations.

Totalkare installed a mobile brake tester with bi-directional rollers. It can test up to 18,000kg per axle with testing made simple thanks to the supplied tablet which enables tests to be carried out from the driver’s seat of the vehicle. With no civil work required, installation was simple and straightforward.

Nigel Iles, director at NJI Transport said: “The brake tester is increasing our productivity from the offset, as we can test our vehicles at flexible times without fearing that a test centre may be closed during specific times in the day. The product is a great fit as it provides the highest level of road safety for our fleet.”
