Mercedes-Benz reports strong electric van demand
Mercedes-Benz Group sold 547,100 cars and vans in the second quarter (Q2) of 2025, of which Mercedes-Benz Vans sold 93,400 units in the second quarter.

That is a 32 per cent year-on-year rise in electric vans, a strong indicator of customer demand for e-vans. These figures mean that electric vans account for seven per cent of its overall sales, and 10 per cent of its total European sales.
Sagree Sardien, head of sales and marketing at Mercedes-Benz Vans, said: “We are encouraged to see the intensification of our efforts to deliver a premium customer experience and electrification of the portfolio, translated into a seven per cent growth for private vans and 42 per cent for eVans in the first half of the year.”
Massive Amazon fleet order is electric
Other big news for Mercedes-Benz Vans, already reported here, was its largest single order of electric vans with 5,000 e-vans set to be delivered to the Amazon’s transportation network in the months ahead.
