Badge of honour for Daimler Truck as it joins Russia’s sanction list

Over a year ago, Daimler Truck severed all ties with truck manufacturing in Russia.

Now, the Russia Government has added Daimler Truck to the country’s official ‘special economic measures’ (sanctions) list.

The news, which Daimler Truck (Mercedes-Benz Trucks) should be displaying as a badge of honour, came to light in Russian Government documents, published late last month (June).

What it means is that Russia has prohibited the completion of current and future trade deals with the truck manufacturer. All European companies should be on this list.
