UK truck hire company orders 100 Mercedes-Benz Actros L tractor units

MC Rental, a UK-based truck hire company, has ordered 100 Mercedes-Benz Actros L tractor units with the ProCabin.

MC Rental operates a fleet of more than 2,500 commercial vehicles.

The Mercedes-Benz Trucks order will be delivered across the remaining months of 2025.

All will be Actros L 2553 units powered by 390 kW (530 hp), 12.8-litre in-line six-cylinder engines.

The ProCabin’s distinctive smooth front panel is said by Mercedes-Benz Trucks to deliver improved aerodynamics and a fuel efficiency improvement of up to three per cent

Their Giga ProCabins will feature double bunks, heated seats and fridges, as well as ambient lighting and extra USB-C sockets in the side walls.

What’s more, Actros L ProCabin trucks all come with a range of technological enhancements to boost both efficiency and safety.

These include the latest version of Mercedes-Benz Active Brake Assist, now in its sixth generation, as well as Active Sideguard Assist and Front Guard Assist.

Driver comfort and efficiency are enhanced by Predictive Powertrain Control and Active Drive Assist functions, and the ‘My TruckPoint’ platform provides a range of over-the-air services direct to the cab.
