UFI renews partnership with John Newell for ETRC

UFI has partnered with John Newell, British driver of the NWT Motorsport team, for the second consecutive year in the Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship (ETRC).

The ETRC was the first motorsport event that successfully transitioned to 100 per cent sustainable fuel in 2021, earning the three-stars of the FIA Environmental Accreditation in 2024.

The truck with which Newell will compete will be number 18: a MAN Chassis nicknamed ‘Lagertha’, built from scratch with the help of Stefan Honens Racing Services and MAN, equipped with an 1,100 horsepower engine and a maximum torque of 5500 Nm.

UFI, a leader in filtration and thermal management, as well as green hydrogen technologies, will take to the track alongside Newell and the entire NWT Motorsport team for the second year in a row.

The second round the 2025 Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship is currently underway in Lausitzring, Germany.
