Mason Bros takes delivery of new SDC Freespan Curtainsiders
Mason Bros Transport Ltd has taken delivery of another order of SDC Freespan Curtainsiders from SDC Trailers.
Built at SDC’s Mansfield facility, these advanced trailers feature a combination of standard and slim neck builds, designed to maximise internal height and efficiency for transporting produce boxes and other goods, ensuring streamlined deliveries.
John Mason, managing director at Mason Bros Transport Ltd, welcomed the new additions, stating: “We are pleased to add these SDC Curtainsider trailers to our existing fleet, enhancing our support for longstanding customers and new contracts ahead of the 2025-26 harvest season.”

Mason Bros Transport Ltd has a long history in the transport sector, evolving from its early beginnings in livestock carriage to specialising in agricultural produce transport, with a primary focus on potatoes and onions.
The Freespan trailers are EN12642-XL certified, providing enhanced load security. Other key features include a full clear side aperture for ease of loading and unloading, safe park braking and automatic slack adjusters for additional safety and control.
The SDC Curtainsiders comply with ISO regulation electrics and are equipped with LED lighting, a 26-strap load restraint system, steel-reinforced flooring, a galvanised pull-out step, rear buffers, and host of other key safety and operational enhancements.
