Gowan Auto welcomes Bandon Motors to Peugeot network

Gowan Auto has appointed Bandon Motors in Co Cork to the Peugeot dealer network of Ireland, for new van and car sales and after-sales.

Speaking of the appointment of Bandon Motors, Des Cannon, managing director of Peugeot in Ireland said: “We look forward to the partnership and we are delighted to welcome such a well-respected dealership on board to represent the Peugeot brand in Bandon and the surrounding area.

“With all the changes coming to the motor industry in the years ahead, it is vital to have strong partners. We feel, with this addition, we have further solidified our Peugeot dealer network in Ireland.”

Bandon Motors is planning to develop its current site on the Clonakilty Road in Bandon, which will see the Peugeot brand operate from a dedicated, newly constructed showroom.

A well established family-run business, Bandon Motors was founded in 1988 and is a major part of the business community in West Cork, employing 30 people.

Gowan Auto is the exclusive importer and distributor of Alfa Romeo, Citroen, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Honda, Jeep, Opel, and Peugeot in the Republic of Ireland.

Gowan Auto, a member of the family-owned holding company, the Gowan Group, recently made a significant commercial investment in fitting out a new Citywest head-quarters premises in Dublin.

Gowan Group says that it is future-proofing the business and meeting its dealer partners’ sales, parts, technical and after-sales needs, more readily. It adds that the company has set its sights on considerable, sustainable growth in the coming years, with much emphasis being placed on strengthening its franchise dealer networks.
