Borg & Beck introduces new CV range
Rolling out the latest element in its on-going development strategy for its globally recognised Borg & Beck brand, the First Line Group (FLG) has now introduced a range of premium quality replacement parts for the commercial vehicle (CV) sector, to stand alongside its highly regarded automotive components.
As would be expected from such a respected supplier, the CV range has been designed to incorporate a number of key features that will benefit both the factor and the workshop. These include the fact that they are new and not remanufactured components, which are manufactured to match or exceed original equipment (OE) specification.
To emphasise its total commitment to quality, Borg & Beck and Eaton, one of the world’s most recognised medium and heavy-duty clutch suppliers, have agreed a strategic partnership that underpins the entire Borg & Beck CV clutch programme.
Eaton’s unsurpassed reputation for product reliability, durability and performance has now been combined with the product development and warranty management capabilities of the Borg & Beck in-house clutch testing and research facility, to provide an OE engineered clutch solution for the CV aftermarket.
The initial range consists of 52 part numbers, covering 430mm diameter applications, with 395mm and 362mm diameter additions due in the Autumn. This consolidated offering maximises coverage and investment and comes with a 24-month, unlimited mileage warranty against any manufacturing defects.
Manufactured in Europe to exacting OE specifications that match all the original item’s weights and dimensions, the range of more than 110 references covers all popular truck, trailer, bus and coach applications.
These clearly branded CV drums provide factors and workshops with the assurance of premium quality and instant recognition, which why they too come with a 12-month warranty against any manufacturing defects.
Steering & suspension is a core product group for FLG, in fact under its First Line brand, it is the UK’s leading aftermarket supplier for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. The Borg & Beck CV steering range builds on these firm foundations to provide the CV sector with a 380 reference-strong solution for all popular drag links, tie rods, torque rods, stabiliser links, V-stays and associated tie rod ends (ball joints), the majority of which are E-coat painted to ensure excellent corrosion resistance for up to 10 years.
Naturally, these components are manufactured to OE specifications at production facilities that operate under ISO TS16949, as well as ISO9001:2000 standards, and for added traceability, Borg & Beck branding features on all end caps.
These new, outright purchase CV starters and alternators are also manufactured to OE specification and are fully product tested to provide a range that comes without the inconvenience of having to exchange core or the cost of having to pay a surcharge.
The initial range of 60 references covers the majority of popular applications and comes with a 24-month, unlimited mileage warranty against manufacturing defects.
