Citroen improves Berlingo fuel efficiency for 2015

Effective from November production, Citroen has further improved the fuel efficiency and reduced the CO2 emissions of the Berlingo – the brand’s best-selling LCV model. The versions benefiting from these latest improvements are the Berlingo X and LX vans equipped with the HDi 75 diesel engine.

The November changes have seen the HDi 75 powered Berlingo vans’ combined cycle fuel consumption figure improve to 5 l/100km (56.5mpg), previously 5.1 l/100km (55.4mpg) and CO2 emissions reduced to 131g/km from 133g/km.

Sean O’Neill, Citroen’s National Fleet Manager, commented; “These latest changes will help to maintain the Berlingo’s strong sales performance. In 2014 so far the Berlingo showed a year-on-year sales growth of 35% and remains the top selling model in the Citroen commercial range. This reflects its strong appeal to businesses both large and small.”

Berlingos are available with a factory built choice of SWB and LWB panel vans, 3-seat panel vans, 5-seat crew vans, enhanced traction vans and platform cabs for special bodywork. The Berlingo panel van comes with a 3 year 100,000 km manufacturer warranty, whichever comes first, and offer great value service packs.
