Mercedes-Benz Actros wins Fleet Truck of the Year

The Mercedes-Benz Actros L ProCabin has been awarded Fleet Truck of the Year 2026 at the Motor Transport Awards in the UK.

In particular, jurors praised the Actros for its “better-than-claimed fuel economy, comfort-focussed cabin, and raft of advanced safety features protecting both drivers and road users”.

The Fleet Truck of the Year award is given to the tractor unit that jurors believe offers the best overall package.

Based on a 4×2 or 6×2 platform and producing no more than 500hp, entrants are judged on criteria including fuel economy and driver satisfaction, as well as wider business support such as breakdown response, lead times, and finance options.

Fleets already taking advantage of the Actros’s advanced offering include Maritime Transport, Wrings Transport, and Knowles Logistics.

The Mercedes-Benz Actros L ProCabin is available in a range of cab sizes from Stream to Giga, with flexible wheelbase options to suit a variety of loads.
