Volvo Trucks unveils two new 13-litre engines

Volvo Trucks has unveiled two all-new 13-litre engines which are ready for renewable diesel and gas fuel types, including future hydrogen applications.

Both are based on Volvo’s latest in-house developed platform and are the company’s most fuel-efficient to date.

According to Volvo Trucks, the new units deliver up to four per cent lower fuel consumption versus its predecessor.

The engines cater for a wide variety of applications, and meet or exceed new emissions and noise-related legislation.

Volvo Trucks says combustion engine continues to play an important role in its driveline strategy.
