FedEx orders 131 DAF trucks

FedEx has placed a major order of 131 vehicles with DAF Trucks, comprising 100 DAF XD tractor units for daily operations in the UK, 11 DAF XG tractors for the Netherlands and 20 DAF XF tractors for long-distance transport in France.

The deal will see FedEx deploy DAF trucks into its French operations for the first time, while the new trucks will also replace its existing linehaul trucks across the UK and Netherlands.

David Kiss, European sales director of DAF Trucks, said: “The introduction of DAF vehicles into the FedEx France operations, combined with the expansion and renewal of DAF fleets in the UK and the Netherlands, demonstrates the company’s confidence in the trucks of DAF and the excellent service provided across Europe.”
