What Van? award winners announced for 2026

The winners of the What Van? Awards 2026 in the UK have been announced, with a number of panel vans and pick-up trucks scooping awards.

At an awards ceremony last night in London, the all-electric Kia PV5 named as the overall ‘Van of the Year’ by the jurors at What Van?, with the Ford Transit Courier following close behind as ‘Highly Commended’.

The Medium Van of the Year was jointly won by the Ford Transit Custom and the Volkswagen Transporter, with the Citroen Dispatch, Fiat Professional Scudo, Peugeot Expert, Toyota Proace, Vauxhall Vivaro all Highly Commended.

The Large Van of the Year award was shared by the Renault Master and Nissan Interstar, with the nod of Highly Commended going to the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.

The new Farizon SV was named Zero-Emission Van of the Year, while the Renault Master E-Tech and the Nissan Interstar-e were Highly Commended in this category.

Elsewhere, the Editor’s Choice award went to the Toyota Land Cruiser Commercial, while Toyota also won Used Van of the Year for its Hilux pick-up.

The overall Pick-up of the Year was the new Ford Ranger PHEV, with What Van? also naming the Isuzu D-Max EV as ‘One to Watch’.

And finally, Van Guard scooped the Aftermarket Accessories Award.
