WABCO introduces next-generation EAPU₂ for Scania
ZF Aftermarket has strengthened its commercial vehicle portfolio with the introduction of the WABCO Electronic Air Processing Unit 2 (EAPU₂) for Scania trucks, now available to the independent aftermarket.
This next-generation unit represents a significant advancement in air processing technology, combining three key components, an air dryer, a multi-circuit protection valve and an electronic control unit, into one efficient, compact solution.
The integrated design delivers notable performance benefits. Faster regeneration and optimised use of compressed air help reduce energy consumption, which in turn improves overall vehicle efficiency. At the same time, the inclusion of dual pressure limiters provides an extra layer of protection for the braking system, ensuring safe and consistent operation even under demanding conditions.
The EAPU₂ has been developed with ease of service firmly in mind. Its cartridge-based modular structure allows individual elements to be replaced without removing the entire unit, saving valuable workshop time and reducing maintenance costs. For fleet operators, this means less downtime and a quicker return to service.
Like all WABCO products, the EAPU₂ is manufactured to the same rigorous OE standards that are trusted by leading vehicle manufacturers worldwide. By making it available to the independent aftermarket, ZF is ensuring that workshops and fleet operators have direct access to a premium-quality solution that delivers the durability and reliability expected of an original equipment product.
With its latest addition, ZF Aftermarket continues to expand its support for commercial vehicle customers, providing innovative parts and systems that combine technical excellence with practical benefits for real-world operation. The arrival of the EAPU₂ further demonstrates ZF’s commitment to helping the aftermarket keep pace with the evolving requirements of today’s vehicles while delivering confidence, safety and performance.
