New Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics Add-On for Bosch ESI[tronic]

Bosch has released a new Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics Add-On for its ESI[tronic] tools, which provides subscribers with significantly enhanced diagnostic capabilities for commercial vehicles.

Ever since the ESI[tronic] update in August 2024, commercial vehicle workshops have been able to use the Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics Add-On for the diagnoses, maintenance, and repair of Knorr-Bremse systems. A prerequisite for the Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics Add-On is an ESI[tronic] Truck-package license.

The Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics Add-On offers a range of benefits including access to new systems of Knorr-Bremse such as iTEBS X trailer brake systems. It combines the diagnostic functions of NEO and ECUtalk for commercial vehicle and trailer systems.

Interacting with the new cloud-based platform (OCT = online configuration tool) for advanced trailer diagnoses, it allows parameter adjustments and control-unit replacement in line with the latest cyber-security and SUMS regulations.

In addition, the Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics Add-On provides access to genuine and specific Knorr-Bremse diagnostic functions. It allows, for instance, to program EAC1+ and EAC 2.5 air-dryer control units for Volvo and Renault vehicles. Regular system updates are synchronised with the ESI[tronic] software.
