Schaeffler technical evening visits FG7
Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions yesterday presented a technical evening at FG7 in Cookstown, Northern Ireland, where REPXPERT Alistair Mason provided the more than 50 garage owners and technicians in attendance with an engaging introduction to Schaeffler as a company, as well as the modern challenges facing workshops.
During the evening, Mason took a deep dive into the evolving technology that workshops are presented with, and highlighted how Schaeffler products support vehicle manufacturers by reducing emissions.
There were also live installation demos on Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF), Self-Adjusting Clutches (SAC), Concentric Slave Cylinders (CS), and LuK 2CT repair solution for double clutch systems.
Mason then went on to talk about the company’s INA engine products and its FAG chassis brand, leaving guests with some helpful hints and tips that they can take with them into the workshop.
The benefits of becoming a REPXPERT member and using the Schaeffler OneCode were also highlighted. Here, workshop owners and technicians alike can collect bonus points and use them for helpful repair data or Schaeffler’s training courses.
A spokesperson for Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions told AutoTrade.ie that Alistair Mason is planning on calling in to some workshops, a college and some more customers as he makes his way south towards Dublin from Belfast.
