Parts Holding Europe acquires Top Part
Parts Holding Europe (PHE) has agreed terms to purchase a significant shareholding in Top Part, Ireland’s largest motor factor group.
The transaction is subject to approval by the Competition Authority and is expected to complete in the coming months
PHE is a leader in the independent distribution of replacement parts for light and heavy vehicles in Western Europe, operating in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italy, and Spain.
In 2023, PHE reported revenue of circa €2.3 billion and the group employs over 9,500 people.
All Top Part branches and all the staff in the group are being retained in the new entity.
Top Part told AutoTrade.ie that all customers will continue to get the same great range of products and services, and in time that it expects to expand the available ranges.
Management are enthusiastic for the future and will continue to focus on growing the business and PHE will provide additional support to do this, Top Part said.
The same Management team remains, headed by Donie Dillane as Managing Director and Pat Daly as Finance Director.
Peter Daly will also remain as Managing Director of Synergy Vehicle Refinishing Solutions Ireland.
The Top Part name is well recognised and regarded in the Irish market, and therefore a spokesman said there will be no change in the name of the business or rebranding.
“Top Part will remain and operate in a similar way but with a parent company called Parts Holding Europe,” he added.
