Domino’s to slice emissions with Renault electric delivery van

Domino’s Pizza in the UK has begun a trial of a fully-electric Renault Master E-Tech delivery van, to replace a diesel vehicle delivering to stores in urban areas.

If successful, Domino’s plans to invest in further new EVs for its supply chain centre (SCC) fleet over the next 24 months.

The van is zero emission at the tailpipe and emits up to 70 per cent less CO2e in comparison to traditional petrol and diesel vehicles – estimated to save 14,844kg CO2e emissions each 12 month, based on mileage of 40,000 miles per year.

The eLCV marks another step towards the group’s ambition to reduce emissions across the business and run a significantly greener supply chain centre fleet by 2031.

This year has already seen Domino’s introduce 58 new distribution trucks with electric refrigeration units from DawsonGroup, further helping improve energy efficiency.
