Welsh operator enhances capabilities with Totalkare inspection pit

Welsh vehicle recovery and repair service, Gwalia Recovery, has recently upgraded its workshop facilities with the addition of a 16-metre ATF vehicle inspection pit supplied and installed by Totalkare.

This new installation, complemented by an in-ground brake tester, wheel play detectors, a headlamp tester and radius plates, will enable Gwalia Recovery to carry out more comprehensive vehicle inspections and repairs for its customers whilst ensuring that its own fleet remains in peak condition.

The 16-metre inspection pit, designed to accommodate a wide range of vehicle sizes, will allow Gwalia’s technicians to conduct thorough inspections with greater ease and efficiency. The in-ground brake tester, an essential addition, will enable accurate and DVSA-approved brake tests.

Complementing this are wheel play detectors, which help identify any issues with steering and suspension, a headlamp tester with rails and other supporting equipment to ensure that vehicle meet the required standards for road use.

A spokesperson from Gwalia Recovery said: “Investing in this new equipment from Totalkare was a natural progression for us as we continue to expand and modernise our facilities. The new vehicle inspection pit and testing equipment will not only streamline our operations but also ensure that we continue to meet and exceed the high standards our customers have come to expect.”
