Keogh new Harris Group MD for Ireland

Leading commercial vehicle importer and distributor, the Harris Group, has appointed John Keogh as managing director for Ireland where he will manage the Maxus, Isuzu and Higer brands.

Keogh has over two decades of experience within the Harris Group. Since joining the company in 1999 as sales manager for Isuzu, he subsequently moved on to the position of dealer development manager for SsangYong Motors, and, most recently, managing director for retail operations.

In his new role, Keogh will oversee Harris Group Ireland’s operations, driving growth and support for the dealer network.

The Harris Group says his appointment aligns with its broader strategy to strengthen its leadership team and support its continued growth in the dynamic commercial vehicle sector in Ireland.

This leadership expansion follows the recent appointment of Andrew Lawson as managing director for Harris Maxus UK.

Brian Patterson, group managing director of the Harris Group, said: “John’s extensive experience and dedication to Harris Group’s mission make him the ideal leader for the current and new Harris brands in Ireland. His appointment, alongside Andrew Lawson’s leadership in the UK, reinforces our commitment to driving growth and operational excellence across both markets.”

Commenting on his new position, John Keogh said: “I am honoured to take on this role at such an exciting time for Harris Maxus. With the electric vehicle market evolving rapidly, I look forward to building on our strong foundation and driving sustainable growth for our dealer network and customers across Ireland.”
