Inaugural T3 Expo takes place in Italy
The inaugural ‘T3 Expo – Truck, Tyre, Trailer’ took place last month at the Piacenza Expo in northern Italy, drawing more than 80 exhibitors who showcased a broad range of commercial vehicles and equipment.
Among the displays were semi-trailer trucks, vans, and pickup trucks, alongside a variety of trailers, including flat-bed, low-loader, refrigerated, curtainsider, and tanker models, many featuring custom superstructures, modifications, and fit-outs.
The event also highlighted components and accessories such as tyres, rims, batteries, lighting, filters, fuel tanks, load fastening equipment, and advanced telematics and fleet management systems.
Key themes included navigating tightening national and European regulations for road transport, enhancing operational efficiency, cutting fuel consumption, and boosting safety standards.
Emerging technologies also took centre stage, with conference sessions addressing topics such as alternative fuels, including hydrogen, and the future of autonomous trucks. Daimler Truck provided insights into the evolving market for battery-powered electric trucks and the factors influencing their adoption.
Also of note, telematics specialist Outset introduced its ‘Securetank’ system, designed to detect and alert for unauthorised access or vandalism targeting fuel tanks, sending real-time notifications to fleet managers.
The second edition of T3 Expo is set to return to the same venue in October 2026.
