Goldschmitt reveals auxiliary air suspension system with automatic level control
German suspensions systems manufacturer Goldschmitt has revealed its new RHC (Ride Height Control) auxiliary air suspension system, which provides automatic height adjustment based on precise height sensors that detect weight changes and adjust the vehicle’s height accordingly.
Unlike conventional systems, Goldschmitt says there is no need for manual air pressure monitoring with a gauge; RHC responds to the actual vehicle height, not air pressure. This eliminates the need for complex adjustments, enhancing both driver comfort and safety by preventing user errors. The system maintains a stable ride height, even with varying load conditions.
Additionally, a manual control feature allows the rear of the vehicle to be raised or lowered when stationary, making it easier to navigate ramps or obstacles. According to Goldschmitt, a standout feature of the RHC system is its compact control panel which, measuring just 57 x 32 x 2.5 mm, can be installed anywhere within the vehicle.
An optional smartphone app for iOS and Android offers additional features. The RHC air suspension systems come as plug-and-play kits, greatly simplifying installation. The compressor and valve block are pre-mounted on a vehicle-specific installation bracket, eliminating the need to route air lines into the cab.
Starting in January 2025, the RHC system will be available exclusively at the Goldschmitt Technik Centers in Walldürn, Polch, and Leutkirch (all in Germany), as well as through Goldschmitt Premium Partners across Europe.
Initially, the new systems will be available for the Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, Citroen Relay/Jumper (from model year 2006), and Opel/Vauxhall Movano (from model year 2021).
