CV Workshop EXPO an ‘incredibly worthwhile experience’ for ZF Aftermarket

ZF Aftermarket UK has hailed CV Workshop EXPO 2024 as an “incredibly worthwhile experience” for the company. The event, which was the biggest of its kind to take place across Ireland and the UK this year, attracted thousands of visitors and offered ZF the opportunity to showcase its market-leading brands and demonstrate its technical expertise to both commercial vehicle and car workshops.

As well as this, ZF Aftermarket was also commemorated for its eye-catching stand, receiving a ‘Best Compact Stand – International Visitor’ award.

During the two-day EXPO at the RDS in Dublin, ZF said there was a significant interest from the commercial vehicle sector, providing promising leads for ZF’s wide range of products and services.

Elsewhere, ZF Aftermarket’s technical & training support lead, Stuart McLeod, delivered an in-depth transmission servicing training session to over 40 workshop technicians. The presentation covered a range of essential topics, from identifying ZF transmissions to the benefits of using genuine ZF parts and service kits.

McLeod also demonstrated how to access vital service information via ZF’s [pro]Tech Start programme, which provides free resources to support workshops in maintaining vehicles with ZF components.

Additionally, he offered guidance on the importance of using the correct transmission oil and avoiding common installation errors, particularly when fitting guide tubes for vehicle wiring looms.

McLeod said: “It was rewarding to see so many technicians eager to enhance their skills in transmission servicing. With the growing complexity of vehicles, it’s more important than ever that workshops have the right tools and information to maintain these systems effectively. ZF’s [pro]Tech Start programme is an invaluable resource, and I’m glad we could demonstrate its benefits at the show.”

In addition to McLeod’s training session, the ZF Aftermarket team was busy signing up workshops for the ZF [pro]Tech programme, offering further support to technicians through access to installation instructions, technical tips, and direct hotline support from ZF specialists.
