Prometeon celebrates success of R02 Pro Trailer debut
Prometeon Tyre Group has declared the first stage of its significant rebranding initiative as a major success. This follows the launch of the new Prometeon-branded tyre at the recent Road Transport Expo (RTX) in the UK.
According to the Italian manufacturer, the rebrand marks the beginning of a new chapter in its history as Prometeon transitions its premium tyre lineup to carry the Prometeon signature whilst retaining the advanced technology and superior performance of its acclaimed Serie 02 tyres.
Ali Yilmaz, managing director of Prometeon Tyre Group for the UK, Ireland and Nordics, highlighted the importance of the event for the company: “RTX 2024 was a pivotal moment for us. It was not only an opportunity to showcase our new Prometeon-branded tyres, but also to reinforce our commitment to innovation and excellence in commercial vehicle tyres.”
The event is said by Prometeon to have enabled it to connect with key customers and industry leaders.
Yilmaz emphasised the significance of being present at such an influential event: “Our main aim was to raise the visibility of the Prometeon brand with our customers and within the industry. With many major industry players in attendance, it was important for us to be represented, and to highlight our cutting-edge products.”
Prometeon CTO Alexandre Bregantim took part in ‘The Big Debate: Future of Tyres’ panel discussion at RTX alongside other tyre industry experts. He shared insights on how the Prometeon R&D team worked for over four years on the company’s most advanced tyres to date – the Serie 02 range – as well as discussing what’s new in the world of tyre technology.
Taking pride of place on the Prometeon stand at RTX, and making its UK debut, was the new Prometeon-branded R02 Pro Trailer tyre designed for maximum versatility and high safety standards on all roads, and in all seasons.
With a completely new tread design, and an innovative material compound, Prometeon says the R02 Pro Trailer tyre ensures low rolling resistance and high durability for optimisation of total management costs. The Prometeon R02 tyre also has a new reinforced casing construction offering an increased load capacity up to 10 tonnes ensuring high strength and retreadability, even for use with high loads.
Yilmaz shared that many existing customers were already aware of the rebrand and expressed enthusiasm for the new Prometeon tyre. “Most of our visitors were current customers who appreciated the continuity in quality and performance. Seeing the tyre in person solidified their confidence in our products,” he said.
The new Prometeon-branded tyres are built on the same advanced technology as the previous Serie 02 tyres which are renowned for their durability, sustainability, and performance.
“The rebranding is more than a name change; it represents Prometeon’s commitment to leveraging its own technological advancements and to writing its own history in the tyre industry,” explained Yilmaz.
“Our Serie 02 premium tyres were launched in 2022 after four years of R&D and hundreds of hours of road tests. They remain the most advanced truck tyres on the market which is why all of that technology is being retained in our Prometeon-branded premium tyre range.”
The new Prometeon-branded R02 Pro Trailer tyre is available in Ireland through Heffernan Tyres.
