Fruehauf expanding in Ireland

Tipping trailer brand Fruehauf is expanding its operations throughout Ireland, saying it aims to provide Irish customers with direct access to its high-quality tipping trailers, enhanced service, parts, and support.

Tiarnan O’Hanlon, business development manager at Fruehauf, said of the development: “We are thrilled to bring Fruehauf’s engineering excellence directly to Ireland. This national and local approach will allow us to deliver unparalleled service, original parts, and quality to our Irish customers, building stronger, more direct relationships.”

O’Hanlon also said that Fruehauf is now working closely with Bulk Services of Markethill, Armagh, who has become an agent for the tipping trailer firm in Ireland.

Wilby Geary of Bulk Services explained the history of his company over the last 40+ years: “In 1979 Bulk Services started delivering animal feed locally expanding across the country. In the late 1980s we started to build our own bodies. In the early 1990s we increased our fleet to nine vehicles, which solely delivered animal feed.

“Due to our repair and build experience we naturally started doing repairs for other hauliers, with others wanting almost identical builds as our own. In 2003 due to the increase in build and repair requests, Bulk Services sold on the haulage part of the business to concentrate on the build and repair workload. We are delighted to be part of the Fruehauf expansion.”
