Hengst Filtration opens new site in Balș, Romania
Hengst Filtration has opened a new site in Balș, Romania, meaning the company is now represented in a total of 13 countries.
According to the German filtration specialist, the Balș plant, which covers up to 15,000 square metres, will primarily produce filters for cleaning appliances and power tools in the private and professional sectors.
“We have found a great production building in Balș that we were able to quickly adapt to our needs,” said Hengst CEO Christopher Heine.
“We expect to have more flexibility in production in Balș, especially for products with smaller quantities. Balș is therefore another example of our transformation from an automotive supplier to a filtration specialist in many areas.”
Hengst Filtration says it has invested around €8 million in Balș so far, and aims to employ 100 people there by the end of the year.
