Bus Eireann takes new Axis500 wheel alignment from Techplus

National bus and coach operator Bus Éireann has added a new Haweka Axis500 wheel alignment system to its Ballina depot in Co Mayo.

Supplied and fitted by workshop equipment specialist Techplus Ltd, with training provided by its GEA Accredited engineer Liam Salmon, the Haweka Axis500 is an electronic wheel alignment system for trucks and commercial vehicles.

According to the manufacturer, it takes less than 10 minutes to accurately measure every angle on a truck or bus in the as driven position – there is no need to lift the vehicle. The Axis500 alignment system can be used on twin steers, rigids, semi-trailers and buses.

Using the Haweka Axis500 is said by Techplus to be a one man operation, with only one person required for the entire measurement process. Techplus adds that the good price-performance ratio guarantees fast amortisation.
