Government agreed toll increases drive motorist/transport costs up
Toll charges on a number of roads across Ireland were increased as of yesterday (1st January), in what is the second such price rise in the last 12 months.
Tolls on eight national roads increase yesterday by up to 20 per cent in some cases.
On the M50, the toll prices have increased by up to 40c, depending on the type of vehicle and your method of payment.
The €10 charge to use the Dublin Port Tunnel during peak hours has just increased to €12, which is back to the high levels of 2009.
All vehicles using the tunnel during the other off-peak hours have seen a 50c increase to €3.50.
