Paddy Magee leaves Renault Group Ireland
Paddy Magee, country operations director of Renault Group Ireland, has announced he has stepped away from the business after over 20 years.
In a LinkedIn post dated 10th November 2023, Mr Magee confirmed he will not be moving over to Cedar Ireland Automotive Ltd, the firm that owns Nissan Ireland and recently took control of the importation and distribution activities of the Renault and Dacia brands here, including passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and spare parts.
“After 22 years with the Renault Group in Ireland, I have chosen not to transition to Cedar Group who are now responsible for the importing and distribution of Renault and Dacia in Ireland,” Paddy Magee said.

“I have had many great moments during my 22 years but my proudest moment came in 2013 when I became country operations director for Renault Group in Ireland, this would not have been possible without the support of my great friend and colleague, Ger Hendrick who sadly passed away in 2021.
“I am delighted that the team and I lead the Renault Group to being the third largest network in Ireland for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, this would not have been possible without the great work and support of the Renault and Dacia dealer network.
“I want to take this opportunity to say thanks to all the staff, dealers, suppliers, fleet companies, customers, SIMI and press who supported me over the 22 years. I would also like to say a special thank you to the great colleagues I have had over the years in both Renault and Dacia headquarters, none of this would have been possible without your support.
“I would like to wish the dealer network and all the staff at Cedar Group the very best of luck with the brands for the future. On to the next chapter.”
