K2 Recovery upgrades lifting capabilities with Totalkare
A Kettering vehicle recovery operator has upgraded its operational capabilities by replacing its ageing mobile column lifts with a brand-new set of T8DC mobile column lifts from workshop equipment expert Totalkare.
The set of lifts will work alongside its current set-up of an existing set of T8DC lifts, an electro-hydraulic two post lift, heavy duty four post lift, diesel smoke meter, and a headlamp tester, all previously provided by Totalkare.
K2 Recovery offers vehicle recovery and repairs for all sizes of vehicle from its two depots in Kettering and will soon be opening a third in Northampton. In addition, they provide a full national breakdown and recovery service.
The mobile column lift from Totalkare is a versatile lifting solution, boasting a lifting capacity of up to 7,500kg per column. K2 Recovery has opted for a configuration of four columns to cater to a wide variety of vehicles, including light commercial vans, buses, coaches, waste & recycling vehicles, heavy goods vehicles, and heavy haulage vehicles.
Totalkare’s T8DC column lift is cable-free, eliminating the risk of accidents related to interconnecting cables in the workshop. The lifts can be easily manoeuvred around the workspace, making them ideal for commercial vehicles, buses, coaches, skip loaders, waste & recycling vehicles, and more.
Charging is simple with the T8DC requiring only a 230V wall socket. With adjustable forks for lifting vehicles with smaller wheels, these lifts can be configured in up to eight columns to suit diverse requirements.
In addition to the cable-free design, the T8DC mobile column lifts also feature an inverted hydraulic cylinder lifting system, radio synchronisation and communication between columns, and a substantial number of lifting cycles between charges. The adjustable wheel forks accommodate different sizes ranging from 700mm to 1,400mm in diameter.
