Mirka looks to Autopaint EXPO

Mirka UK is helping to organise workshop floors with the help of its modular trolley, which will be front and centre at next month’s Autopaint Expo in Ashbourne, Co Meath.

The trolley is available with two set-ups and provides technicians with a place to store all their machines and consumables as well as the option to modify it based on the job they are performing.

The base trolley comes with either drawers or shelves and a new hose arm with two machine hooks. These are easy to attach and adjust depending on the tool hanging from them and the hose arm has been developed to fit two 27mm hoses and one 20mm hose.

To complement the base models and provide additional storage, users can purchase a range of accessories that seamlessly fit into the modular design of the trolley. These include a tool wall, shelves and hooks, a spray gun holder, an aerosol can holder and a waste bag holder.

In addition, the trolley can be easily moved from one job to the next by the user, so they do not have to carry over the various tools and abrasives they will need to complete the job.

Ross Hanna, business development manager for Mirka UK, said: “We are always looking at ways to make a technician’s job easier and more convenient and the addition of the modular trolley to our product portfolio is the next logical step to achieve this goal.

“We know that space is at a premium on the workshop floor and the product’s modular design offers two major benefits. The first is it is easily adaptable for the job at hand and any future jobs that the business might add to their range of services.

“The second is it provides the user with enough storage to ensure a tidy work area and reduces the need to go looking for items as everything is in one place.”

In addition to the modular trolley, Mirka will be showcasing the Galaxy 70x70mm perforated strips. This abrasive has been designed from the ground up to be used on both soft and hard materials and to provide a cut that is so clean that scratch patterns in finer grits are especially easy to polish out and there are no loose grains left behind.

Galaxy has an innovative Multifit hole configuration that utilises optimal hole placement to channel the dust away from the sanding process which, combined with Galaxy’s special coating, helps eradicate clogging, without sacrificing efficient sanding performance.

Furthermore, its specially mixed blue ceramic grains have been engineered to form abrasive edges that break down during the sanding process and present fresh grain. This allows the Galaxy strip to cut quickly and efficiently from edge to edge, which further increases the lifespan of the abrasive.

The Autopaint EXPO takes place at the Pillo Hotel in Ashbourne, Co. Meath on Wednesday, 18th October from 16:00 to 21:00.
