Modern Tyres holds end user summer BBQ
Modern Tyres recently held an end user summer barbeque at its Duncrue Branch in Belfast.
The evening was reported to be a huge success with a turnout of 100 customers attending from across the province.
There were trucks on display from DFDS, Northstone, Allen Logistics, TST Transport and Curran Transport.
McGimpsey Removals also brought along one of its new DAFs which was used to give truck alignment demonstrations by Mark Reavey from Apaseal using the new Corgi computerised system.
The Duncrue reception area was turned into a fully working bar provided by the Dunleath bar in Cookstown, where customers were entertained by Luke O’Loan playing a mix of music during the drinks reception.
The BBQ was prepared by Flamin Outback in Dungannon with a full selection of meat, fish and salads and served in the Duncrue workshop.
With representatives from Bridgestone, Continental and Giti on hand, customers had the chance to meet the manufacturers and ask them technical questions about their fleet’s tyre requirements.
Following the BBQ, each manufacturer then had the opportunity to deliver a short presentation on their current market status and provide any new product updates.
For 2023, Modern Tyres has teamed up with Marie Curie as its charity partner and used the evening as an opportunity to hold a raffle with some fantastic prizes up for grabs, raising just over £2,000.
The headline act of the evening was comedian Tim McGarry, with music provided by Luke O’Loan.
