Goodyear strengthens LCV tyre portfolio
Goodyear is set to strengthen its light commercial vehicle (LCV) tyres offering by introducing an expanded Cargo tyre range in the premium segment, said to give fleets a solution that helps to reduce downtime and keep them moving.
Throughout 2023, a total of 24 new sizes will be available among Goodyear EfficientGrip Cargo 2, Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Cargo and Goodyear UltraGrip Cargo, as Goodyear aims to meet the high demands of customers across the summer, all-season and winter markets, offering up to 89 per cent coverage across the seasons.
Goodyear says this makes its LCV tyre portfolio one of the most complete in the market.
Goodyear is also the tyre of choice for some of the leading light commercial vehicle OEMs. Recently, Volkswagen selected Goodyear as a tyre supplier for the ID.Buzz and ID.Buzz Cargo.
Elsewhere, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and EQV models are fitted with the latest Goodyear tyres as original equipment across the three seasons.
Sonia Leneveu, director marketing consumer Europe, Goodyear said: “We believe the light commercial vehicle market will continue to grow throughout this decade, so Goodyear continues to innovate, with dedicated technologies for this specific segment.
“By using premium tires that offer reliability and durability, fleets can achieve cost savings through reduced downtime.
“In particular, our all-season solution in Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Cargo means fleets in many parts of Europe can be sure they have the right tire for the conditions, all year round.”
