Diesel put into petrol pumps at Circle K Kill North
Petrol pumps at Circle K’s Kill North service station on the northbound lane of the N7 were mistakenly filled with diesel over the weekend, resulting in almost 90 motorists inadvertently filling their cars with the wrong fuel.
Circle K said in a statement that between 14:00 and 19:00 on Saturday, 29th July all the petrol pumps at the Kill North service station were “impacted by an isolated incident where diesel was inadvertently delivered into a petrol underground storage tank.
“Having reviewed CCTV and sales data, we know up to 87 customers may have been impacted by this issue,” it said.
“As soon as the issue became apparent, petrol pumps at the forecourt were immediately closed and Circle K launched an investigation to establish how this occurred,” it added.
The forecourt and convenience retailer also said that it will help customers resolve any issues “as quickly as possible” and “will assist them with any potential claim”.
Circle K said impacted customers can contact the following numbers – 087 1034125; 01 2028768; 01 2028762 or 01 2028888.
