Treble of promotions at DAF Trucks Ireland
DAF Trucks Ireland has announced a treble of promotions within its service departments.
Philip Breen has been promoted to the position of service manager of DAF Trucks Ireland’s Baldonnell facility. From Newbridge, Co. Kildare, Breen joined DAF in 2005 as a HCV technician, having previously worked with several other HCV brands.
In 2017, Breen was promoted to the position of workshop manager and has excelled in that role, which has led to his appointment as service manager. In his new role, Breen will be responsible for managing all aspects of the DAF Baldonnell service department.

Meanwhile, Gerard Cruise has been appointed as DAF Trucks Ireland’s national technical manager (Truck & Bus). The Co. Wicklow-native joined DAF in 1999 as an apprentice technician. From there, Cruise is said to have demonstrated his excellent technical abilities and worked his way up to the position of technician and subsequently to master technician.
In his new role, Cruise will be supporting DAF Trucks Ireland’s nationwide service network as well as the service teams in DAF Baldonnell and TRP Service+ North Dublin.

And last but not least, Brona Lillis has been promoted to the position of service manager, TRP Service+ North Dublin. Lillis, from Kilsallagh Co. Dublin, joined DAF in 2020 as a service advisor having previously worked in several car and truck dealerships, both in Ireland and Australia.
Since then, Lillis has held the position of operations manager at DAF Trucks Ireland’s TRP Service+ North Dublin location in Ballycoolin. Under her stewardship the business has grown successfully, leading now to Lillis being promoted to the role of service manager.
