Heffernan Tyres expands Prometeon dealer network across Ireland
Heffernan Tyres Ltd this year celebrates 70 years in business and also a new exclusive national distribution rights deal with Prometeon Tyre Group for Pirelli-branded truck tyres.
Located in Kildare, Heffernan Tyres is a third-generation family business which has gone from strength to strength under the direction of Thomas and Joe Heffernan, and now has an extensive dealer network around the country supplying Pirelli truck tyres.
Heffernan Tyres recently brought tyre dealers from all over the country for a road-trip and off-road 4×4 experience organised by corporate incentive company Majestic Ireland.
Ali Yilmaz, managing director UK, Ireland & Nordics, and Steve Tift, sales director UK & Ireland, from Prometeon Tyre Group both came in from the UK for the event.
The beefy line up of luxurious off-road ready 4x4s included Range Rovers, new and old Defenders, the Mercedes GLS and the Ford Ranger.
The road trip set off from Kilashee House Hotel in Co Kildare where the range of luxurious and off-road ready 4x4s were waiting for the group. The Irish dealers could experience driving all of the vehicles hired for the day with stops on the itinerary to accommodate vehicle exchanges.
The convoy embarked on a drive across the Sally Gap to Powerscourt House and Gardens and then on to Straghmore, Luggala and Glendalough.
The group enjoyed lunch in the Ballymore Inn and then spent an afternoon at Millbrook off-road centre at Kilkea testing the 4x4s to the max with an off-road adventure including greenlaning and navigating a disused quarry.
Joe Heffernan, sales director for Heffernan tyres, commented: “The main objective of the event was to enable our Heffernan tyres staff and the dealers to get to know each other better and strengthen their relationships.
“At the same time, it provided the ideal opportunity for us to explain the unique benefits of Prometeon’s extensive range of tyre products and services.”
Thomas Heffernan, managing director of Heffernan Tyres said the driving event was a great success with dealers forging new partnerships and building on existing relationships in their network.
