Wrightbus to supply 117 more eBuses to England
117 new zero emission buses built in Ballymena by Wrightbus will to be rolled out in different parts of England. They will be operated by FirstBus.
It is part of the British Government investing a further £25 million to drive forward plans to decarbonise public transport, cleaning up air in their towns and cities.
This latest funding brings total investment to almost £300 million for nearly 1,400 new green buses, helping to reach Net Zero. The latest move is part of the British Government’s wider £3 billion National Bus Strategy.
Thanks to the new investment, various English councils are now able to purchase more zero emission buses from Wrightbus in Northern Ireland.
