The globally renowned TecDoc Catalogue contains more than 1,000 aftermarket brands and 9,800 product groups and allows users to identify the correct replacement quickly and easily.
SEG Automotive is a leading manufacturer of starter motors and alternators for the world’s major OEMs and the aftermarket business. Electro Maintenance launched the brand in Ireland at the recent CV Workshop EXPO in Dublin.
To increase the visibility of its products in the automotive aftermarket and strengthen its position, SEG Automotive has just become a TecDoc Data Supplier.
SEG Automotive is a leading Tier 1 manufacturer of starter motors, alternators, and electrification components. Having emerged from the Starter Motors and Generators Division of the Bosch group, the company has over 100 years of development and manufacturing experience in the OE business and became an independent company in 2018.
“We are now bringing our premium quality further into the Independent Aftermarket (IAM). We have been expanding our aftermarket activities and also entered the market with our own brand, SEG Automotive,” explains Verena Eder, senior manager aftermarket product management and marketing at SEG Automotive.
She adds: “Becoming a TecDoc Supplier makes our products more visible in the automotive aftermarket, laying an important cornerstone on our path. From today, our starter motors and alternators are listed in the TecDoc Catalogue.
“TecDoc provides product data for vehicle part identification to manufacturers, dealers, and workshops in a format that has established itself as the global market standard. This means we will reach a broader market, giving our customers and all players across the distribution chain direct access to our aftermarket portfolio.
“The standardised data format makes it easier to identify SEG Automotive suitable solutions and embed our products and application information in customer’s databases and catalogues.”
The next step after listing SEG Automotive’s products in the TecDoc Catalogue will be to connect to TecCom, to make it easier for its customers to process their inquiries and orders electronically.
