Readypower gets 45 hybrid electric Toyota Corolla Commercial vans

Specialist rail and infrastructure services provider Readypower Group is replacing its fleet of diesel vehicles with 45 hybrid electric Toyota Corolla Commercial vans.

The new vehicles, which entered service this month, will be used by the company’s engineers to support clients across the UK.

Built in Derby, the Corolla Commercial is based on the Corolla Touring Sports passenger car and powered by the 1.8-litre hybrid powertrain.

Available in a single equipment grade, its standard specification includes the full complement of Toyota Safety Sense active safety and driver assistance features.

Its hybrid system is self-charging, so businesses do not have to factor in vehicle downtime for recharging.

Toyota says this makes it a practical and attractive proposition for customers who are not yet in a position to adopt fully electric vehicles.
