Windsor is opening a new motor mall in Galway after investing over €10 million in the development of an extensive new facility at Monivea Road, which is bringing multiple vehicle brands together under one roof.
The 120,000 sq. ft. site includes a dedicated Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Centre and AfterCare Workshop with 18 work bays, as well as modern showrooms featuring displays of personalisation and lifestyle products.
The new Windsor LCV Centre will provide expert service to commercial van customers, including a full vehicle fit out service, while the large AfterCare Workshop offers greater convenience to customers serving their cars.
The new Windsor MotorMall Galway is the first facility of its kind outside of Dublin and will provide motorists with a selection of over 500 new and used cars on site and access to more than 2,000 vehicles across the Windsor network.
Windsor says it pioneered the motor mall concept in Ireland with the opening of the Windsor MotorMall at Exit 5 on the M50 in 2019, and it is now rolling the concept out to other regions for the first time after selling in excess of 2,000 cars at the Dublin facility last year.
A total of 15 new jobs are being created at Windsor MotorMall Galway with the Nissan, Renault, Dacia, Mazda and Citroen marques and Windsor Certified brand of approved used cars among the first to be available at the newly developed premises.
Meanwhile, Jacinta Kilduff has been appointed general manager of the new Winsdor Motormall Galway, following a distinguished 25 year-long career at Windsor where she has fulfilled numerous management roles within its finance department.
Commenting on her new role, Kilduff said: “I’m delighted to be appointed to this new position at such an exciting time for Windsor. We are a long-established business in Galway and our expansion is great news for the city and wider region, providing local car buyers and owners with extensive choice, service and convenience at one highly accessible location.
“We have the largest selection of new and certified approved used cars anywhere in the region. Our focus is on providing motorists in Galway and surrounding counties with great choice and great brands under one roof. This exceptional retail experience is backed by expert advice and a high standard of customer care that enables customers to buy with confidence and to drive away happy.”
Commenting on Windsor’s expansion and the roll out of its MotorMall concept, Peter Nicholson, managing director of Windsor said: “Our aim is to open multiple MotorMall sites across Ireland. We are delighted to open our second MotorMall and to expand our presence in Galway. Nothing like this exists in the region and it enables Windsor to deliver an exceptional level of sales and AfterCare service to new and existing customers.
“We have pioneered and proven that the MotorMall concept works in Ireland. Windsor has a strong track record of helping car brands to grow their market share and we intend to build upon that. Today’s customers are seeking choice, value and expert advice under one roof. We provide an easy, convenient and enjoyable shopping experience and our customers have responded very positively to that.”
