Mercedes-Benz eVito fits the bill for flooring specialist

Brighton and Hove flooring specialist La Boutique du Parquet has acquired a new battery-powered Mercedes-Benz eVito to deliver its products in and around the city.

The fully electric eVito has a 41 kWh battery which is securely mounted in a protective housing beneath the floor, and offers an average range on a single charge of up to 150km.

The wooden parquet specialist’s 3.2-tonne eVito also has sliding load doors on both sides as well as rear doors that provide access – in the case of its long L2 variant – to up to 6.0m3 of cargo area.

Ian Churchman, owner of La Boutique du Parquet, said: “The eVito’s range is more than sufficient for deliveries in and around Brighton and Hove, and the excellent public charging network in the area means it’s always easy to find somewhere to top up the battery if necessary. I’ve also driven the eVito into London, where it’s exempt from the £15 daily Congestion Charge.

“It’s every bit as safe and well put together as you would expect of a Mercedes-Benz and, with a near-silent driveline and no gear changes to worry about, it’s also a real pleasure to drive.”
